About the Charts
I consider these charts as suggestions for scarves, throws, afghans, blankets, cushions, borders, felted bags etc.
I have used plain yarns for clarity in the images, but you could use variegated yarns for richer color effects.
Techniques include stranded knitting, increasing & decreasing, double increases & decreases, trapping, yarn-overs, and cables. Some of the motifs are probably suitable for intarsia.

Information on the techniques is listed below. Please note that my use of symbols is not entirely conventional.

About the Symbols
 knit 2 stitches together.
 slip 1 st onto rh needle as if to knit. Knit 1 stitch and pass slipped st over.
L Left-slanting increase: insert the left-hand needle, from the front, under the bar between the last stitch worked and the first stitch on the right-hand needle, and knit through back of loop.
R Right-slanting increase: insert the left-hand needle, from the back, under the bar between the last stitch worked and the first stitch on the right-hand needle, and knit through front of loop.
 centred double decrease: slip 2 st onto rh needle as if to knit. Knit 1 stitch and pass slipped stitches over.
 double increase: make a right-slanting increase, knit the stitch, and make a left-slanting increase.
 yarn over: bring yarn to the front of the work between the needles and back over the rh needle to form new stitch.

Any further technical information is contained in the PDF files, where relevant.
