easy seas

A simplified version of High Seas made on bigger needles, with plain WS rows.

The pattern combines 2 variations of a sweeping asymmetrical wave motif to dramatic effect.

There are 2 versions of this pattern, 2010 (bottom of page) has lots of left-leaning decreases and 2015 (main images) has lots of right-leaning decreases.

2015 is knit on 5mm/US8 needles with three balls/670yds/630m of Rowan Kidsilk Haze, 582 Trance.

Dimensions: a parallelogram, 80in/200cm by 23in/59cm

2010 is knit on 7mm/US10/US11 needles with a sport weight yarn. The image (a collage of a 2-repeat swatch) shows 7 repeats of the main chart and requires approximately 720yds/660m of yarn.

Dimensions: an 80in/200cm by 17in/43cm parallelogram. The short ends flare out to 22in/56cm.

The pdf includes charts and instructions for both versions.
