daisy waves

A paintbox of daisies and a rainbow of waves combined in lace knitting, stranding and intarsia.

 

Knit on 2.5mm/US1½ needles with 2 ColorShift Yarn sets (discontinued - see help page):

MC: 2 sets of ColorShift Yarn parade cool color progression. Each set has 720yds/658m in nine 80yd/73m skeins.

The sample requires approximately 1.5 sets/1080yds/1000m of MC.

CC: ColorShift Yarn parade warm color progression.

The sample has 85 daisies, each requiring approximately 2yds/1.8m of yarn - a total of 170yds/153m.

 

A complex project, with lace knitting on both sides. Familiarity with intarsia a must!

The lace shaping creates unevenness in the intarsia stitches.

 

Gauge: approximately 22sts and 36 rows = 4 inches in stocking stitch.

Dimensions after blocking: a parallelogram, approximately 70in/178cm long x 20in/51cm

It’s easy to adapt the pattern make a wider, narrower, longer or shorter version.

 

This is a charted pattern with complex charts and short written instructions.
