This design reminds me of a seabird’s plumage. Techniques include stranded knitting, increasing and decreasing. The contrasting color stripes can be created with intarsia to use up short lengths of yarn and create a more colorful scarf. The pdf includes one chart for the wider version, and one chart for the narrow version made with bigger needles.
